Audiologist 

Job Description 

  • Provides services necessary for the identification, diagnostic evaluation and educational programming for children and youth with hearing loss 
  • Assists schools in providing quality listening and learning environments that aid in student achievement 
  • Serves as an advocate for the hearing, listening and learning needs of all children and youth 

Education & Experience 

  • Master’s or doctorate degree in audiology 
  • Appropriate license/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners 

Salary 

  • Full-time working 192 days a year: starting salary of $53,597 or $37.22 an hour.
  • Top of pay range: $93,538

Audiology Assistant I 

Job Description 

  • Assists audiologists by conducting individual hearing screenings, audiometric assessments, database management tasks and amplification troubleshooting in schools 
  • Serves as an advocate for all children and youth 

Education & Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Experience with database management systems 
  • Previous experience as an audiometrist 
  • Completed audiology assistant certification or 75 hours of supervised practicum with a licensed audiologist preferred 

Salary 

  • Pay range currently stands at $20-27 an hour
