Job Description
- Provides services necessary for the identification, diagnostic evaluation and educational programming for children and youth with hearing loss
- Assists schools in providing quality listening and learning environments that aid in student achievement
- Serves as an advocate for the hearing, listening and learning needs of all children and youth
Education & Experience
- Master’s or doctorate degree in audiology
- Appropriate license/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
Salary
- Full-time working 192 days a year: starting salary of $49,228 or $34.19 an hour.
- Top of pay range: $85,917
Audiology Assistant I
Job Description
- Assists audiologists by conducting individual hearing screenings, audiometric assessments, database management tasks and amplification troubleshooting in schools
- Serves as an advocate for all children and youth
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with database management systems
- Previous experience as an audiometrist
- Completed audiology assistant certification or 75 hours of supervised practicum with a licensed audiologist preferred
Salary
- Full-time working 185 days a year: starting pay of $14 an hour.
- Top of pay range: $16-20 an hour
