Nursing Continuing Education Credit Program
Heartland AEA is an approved provider of continuing education for school nurses through the Iowa Board of Nursing. To be approved for continuing education credit, class content must meet appropriate subject matter as specified in Chapter 5 (Continuing Education) of the Iowa Administrative Code related to the Board of Nursing. All classes offered for continuing education credit must demonstrate active nursing participation in its planning and administration. Nursing participation must be documented in planning minutes that are to be submitted prior to class approval.
Heartland AEA has a proud tradition of supporting school nurses in our area, dating back to 1982. As a provider of continuing education, we welcome school nurses to submit feedback directly to the Iowa Board of Nursing regarding any class awarded credit by Heartland AEA (Provider #147). This may be in place of or in addition to completing the online course evaluation.
