We’re happy to share that Tim Hall, Lead School Psychologist for Service Area 3, has been named the Iowa School Psychologist of the Year by the Iowa School Psychologists Association!
From Tim’s nomination:
For more than a decade at Heartland AEA, Tim has made an incredible impact on students, families and educators across multiple districts. Known for his calm, collaborative approach and deep expertise, Tim supports learners of all ages—including students with the most complex needs—and helps school teams navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
As a lead psychologist, Tim plays a key role in strengthening the field and supporting his colleagues. He has been actively involved in recruiting new practitioners, promoting and supporting the application of best practice standards and advocating for the school psychologist job-alike group. In addition, he mentors new staff, contributes to agency planning, responds in times of crisis and supports specialized behavioral teams. His leadership has elevated both district and agency systems and inspired others to pursue excellence in serving students.
What truly sets Tim apart is his compassion. He builds strong relationships, advocates fiercely for equity and inclusion and honors the dignity and potential of every student. His dedication has left a lasting mark on the communities he serves and has strengthened the role of school psychologists across Heartland AEA.
