Book Rotation
2025-26 Book Rotation Registration is Open!
In response to recent legislation, Heartland AEA is moving to a service-for-fee model. Book rotation is only available to teachers in districts and non-public schools that have subscribed to the library collection service for the 2025-26 school year.

What’s included?
Eligible teachers will receive about 25 books (fiction and non-fiction) every four weeks during the school year. Here’s how it works:
- Books are on-level and one grade above and one grade level below reading level.
- Return your current box and a new one will be sent automatically!
- Book rotation supplements your school library resources and provides a rotating classroom collection.
Don’t miss out on this enriching resource to support literacy in your classroom!
Have you tried our book themes?
In addition to book rotation, Heartland AEA has another service for teachers called book themes. You may request specific topics, themes, reading levels, etc., to meet your classroom needs.
To place a book theme request, contact the Heartland AEA library using the contact information at the bottom of the page.
