Evidence-based Classroom Practices

Evidence-based classroom strategies are teaching practices and approaches that have been proven effective through research and data. These strategies are backed by evidence from studies in education, cognitive science and psychology, showing positive impacts on student learning and engagement.

Evidence-based classroom practices are designed to support leadership teams and individual teachers with the implementation of evidence-based practices to impact student academic and behavioral success.

Practices include:

  • Organizing a classroom
  • Teaching behavior expectations and routines
  • Explicit instruction
  • Engagement strategies
  • Implementing an acknowledgment system to improve teacher-student relationships and increase effective feedback

Our Social, Emotional & Behavioral Health Leads will:

  • Help teachers assess their current state and implement the practices that impact student learning outcomes and success.
  • Help leadership teams assess their current state, determine needs and support teachers in implementing evidence-based classroom practices.

We are offering an Evidence-Based Classroom Practices: Academics & Behavior course on Oct. 17 & Nov. 6, 2024, or we can come to your district to coach you on these practices.
