Regulations & Guidance

Each Iowa public school district is required to provide school nurse and school health services according to Iowa Code section 256.11(9B). The school nurse endorsement, at a minimum, is a registered nurse with a license from the Board of Nursing. Below are guidance resources for school health service programs.
