Raku Class

Art Teachers participating in a raku class Raku

Art teachers participated in a recent raku class through Heartland AEA's professional development offerings. They were able to take the class and fire their pottery at an art studio near Ogden.

In June, 15 art teachers participated in a raku class through Heartland AEA taught by instructor Pam Dennis. The class was held at Dennis's personal studio, Flock 9 Studios, on an acreage near Ogden. Raku is a type of Japanese pottery that is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony, most often in the form of tea bowls.
