Summer Reading

Tales2Go We excite kids to readK-12 students have access to over 4,000 audiobooks as part of their school’s Tales2Go subscription through Heartland AEA! Tales2Go audiobooks work on any computer or mobile device. Go to MackinVIA and log in with the school’s online database username/password. Click Databases, click Tales 2 Go, then click Open Now.

Here are some suggested ways students can enjoy Tales2Go this summer:
 
•    Listen to a favorite narrator.
•    Listen to a book while walking the dog.
•    Take an audiobook to camp.
•    Listen to a story that has a movie version.
•    Listen to a spooky tale at a bonfire.
•    Enjoy the outdoors and listen to a science and nature title.
•    Dress up as a character while listening to a fairy tale.
•    Draw while listening to a story to make mental pictures.
•    Listen to the novel you wished you had time to read during the school year.

In addition to the Tales2Go subscription, students also have access to great ebook resources, some of which allow for read-aloud text. Students can log in using the school’s online database username/password available by asking your school teacher librarian or contacting the Heartland AEA Library at (800) 255-0405 ext. 15799.
