Classroom Kits and Equipment

Heartland AEA provides science kits, products and equipment for area school classrooms. Teachers may reserve a kit through the online library catalog. Kits and equipment are then delivered to schools via the Heartland AEA vans.

** Please note that the FOSS, STC, Insights and Delta kits will be be phased out as of May 1, 2017.**

Improve your science curriculum with standards-based Delta Science Modules. Engage students in hands-on investigations and watch as they master basic science concepts while developing key process and critical thinking skills.

Full Option Science System (FOSS) is a research-based science curriculum for K–8th grades developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California at Berkeley.

The curriculum and accompanying materials were developed by a coalition of EDC science curriculum specialists and teams of innovative elementary school teachers.

Science and Technology for Children (STC) is a complete science program for children in grades 1-6.

Science probes, proscopes and other equipment can be checkout out to use in your classroom. You must be trained to use these resources.

STARLAB is a small, portable version of a permanently installed planetarium.
