Occupational Therapist 

Job Description 

  • Develops, implements and coordinates occupational therapy services and resources for children birth to age 21 who have been identified with or are suspected of having disabilities that can interfere with daily living tasks, such as dressing, eating/feeding, playing, cutting, handling writing utensils and other fine motor skills 
  • Collaborates with parents, other team members and community partners to embed skills that build independence in the aforementioned areas into children’s daily routines 
  • Serves as an advocate for all children and youth 

Education & Experience 

  • Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program 
  • Successful completion of entry-level Examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy 
  • Appropriate license/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners 
  • Experience in pediatrics preferred 

Salary 

  • Full-time with a master's degree working 192 days a year: starting salary of $49,925
  • Full-time with a doctorate degree working 192 days a year: starting salary of $55,198
  • Top of pay range: $85,917

Occupational Therapist Assistant 

Job Description

  • Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program

  • Experience or interest in pediatrics preferred 

Salary 

  • Full-time working 192 days a year: starting salary of $37,459 or $20.34 an hour
  • Top of pay range: $59,124
