Iowa's Area Education Agencies, including Heartland AEA, earned praise in an article in the 2013 issue of Perspectives: A Journal of Research and Opinion About Educational Service Agencies for their innovative statewide use of the the Clarity product to help schools with technology integration.
The article, titled "How 21st Century Service Agencies Create 21st Century Schools," was written by Rob Mancabelli, CEO and Co-Founder of BrightBytes, the company behind Clarity.
Beginning in the spring of 2013, Heartland AEA provided the Clarity survey free of charge to all districts and schools in the Agency's service area. This survey provides a broad overview of the state of technology access, procedures and integration in each district. As of summer 2013, 19 districts and two non-public schools had taken the survey and then met with Heartland AEA's technology consultants to revise their technology plans and inservice efforts for the coming year.
Perspectives is the Association of Educational Service Agencies' annual journal reflecting needs, policies, research and other issues affecting educational service agencies. Click here to read the article.
