Acting Director of Special Education
Randy Allison is the Acting Director of Special Education at Heartland AEA for the 2017-18 academic year. He coordinates work around the Agency’s priority service areas to ensure equitable and efficient allocation and alignment of agency resources, programs and services with our districts’ and agency’s identified needs. He is a member of Heartland AEA's Agency Planning Council and the Learning & Leadership Planning Council.
Randy previously served Heartland AEA for 18 years as the Director of Special Education, Coordinator of System Supports for Educational Results and Supervisor of School Psychology Services. He also currently provides consultation to schools, area education agencies and other educational entities through his work as the owner of Educational Solutions, L.L.C.
Randy holds a bachelor's degree in school psychology from Virginia Tech University and a master's degree and educational specialist degree in school psychology from James Madison University.
